Why
this conference?
Within the framework of the International
Year of Sports and Physical Education 2005, as proclaimed by resolution
58/5 : «Sports as a means of the promotion of education,
health, development and peace» adopted by the General Assembly
of the United Nations, Tunisia proposes opening the international
events of this year 2005 by organizing, under the patronage of His
Excellency Mr. Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, President
of the Republic of Tunisia, an International Conference on «Sports
and Health» from the 21st to 24th of March 2005, in Hammamet.
Several tunisian ministries and world organizations will be represented.
Highly qualified lecturers of various nationalities will participate
on the subjects:
Sports
and Quality of life
Promotion of Health
by the Sports
Sports and Ethics
Leading to the conclusion of an international code of
good conduct.
